Behind the Blog Info.

There are always the five W's. So here they are in a straight forward manner.

Who am I? I'm an active prof. freelance multimedia graphic designer living on Vancouver Island, BC who has always wanted to use my prof. skills in the travel marketplace. I see many opportunities and would like to find a new career direction. I love to travel, meet people and put my skills to work in a new direction.

What is this blog for? I'm looking to gain experience, find useful connections, meet new people and seek employment as a freelance review expert pertaining to the travel industry. This consists of reviewing many products, services and businesses related to travel. A desired career position would be a column or feature writer for a magazine or newspaper would be enjoyable.

Where? The last few years I have had the travel bug. I have been to many countries that include: Mexico, Thailand and USA. I can say I have travelled to all these locations a few times and would like to still continue my exploration within these countries and that of others. Some of the countries I would like to travel and work within are Thailand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Belize, etc...

Many shows such as Pilot Guides, Departures, National Geographic and lately BBC's, An Idiot Abroad interest me. I have always wanted to be part of the cast in one way or another. I'm hoping to gain a foot forward finding employment in this field.

When? I've been working as a freelance graphic designer, writer and have come to the conclusion that I would like change. I'm currently working as a freelancer but would jump at the opportunity if it came my way. This is another reason why I developed this blog. A jump start. I don't have any kids and have a prof. employed wife who let's me travel for periods of time. Anytime is good for me.

Why? It's all about exploration. There is so much to see in this world. So little time. People to meet and new opportunities for all. Not just me. I find that I like to be stimulated. I'm sure the general public as does. Learning about day to day life events in a foreign country makes me jolt with excitement. People, places and events are so entertaining. I just want to experience, explore and share my adventures. This blog is a start.

The basics are all there. Now you know what my aspirations are. A blog related to travel, product and service review and an opportunity to share these experiences. Do I want to spend time in the mountains of Mexico in the Sierra Madre and live to tell about my experiences? Sure, at a given notice. What about Southeast Asia and other international travel destinations? Sure. I'm the freelance, independent travel reporter who can showcase, report  and share fun filled travel adventures for a travel companies, tour companies and other businesses who rely on international travel information. Give me the opportunity. Let me visit, record and share my experiences for you.
